Bridport Art Prize 2027

Bridport Innovations Inc. is proud to present the Bridport Art Prize.

In its inaugural year, artists are invited to capture the beauty and spirit of Bridport by creating an artwork depicting the picturesque seaside township and the surrounding beaches, rivers and forests.

There are cash prizes totalling $10,000, and the works will be exhibited at the Bridport Community Hall from
20 - 31 January 2027.

Artists from around the world are encouraged to visit the area year-round to experience the changing face of the Bridport region across the seasons. The walking trails around Bridport provide great access to the area, and you won't be short of inspiration for your next masterpiece.

The prize is open to all forms of 2D and 3D artworks, except photography and video. Entries close on 15 December 2026, and further details on entry terms and conditions can be found here.

Bridport Innovations Inc.

Bridport Innovations Inc. is a thriving community group of volunteers who are dedicated to enhancing the Bridport  lifestyle and the physical attributes of our community for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

New members are always welcomed and vital to a thriving community.

Bridport Innovation’s role is to provide residents communication and direction within our community, to represent the common views of our community to all levels of government, to promote tourism and local economic opportunities. Acting as a catalyst, the committee initiates projects resulting from public consultation.

Bridport Innovations was responsible for setting up the wonderful walking trails that surround the township and provide access and education about the history and natural beauty of the environment.

The very successful Tassie Scallop Fiesta, held every year in winter to mark the opening of the scallop season, is also a Bridport Innovations project, and one of the culinary highlights of the region.

The establishment of the Bridport Art Prize is the latest project for the association, and it is hoped that it will establish Bridport as the creative cultural centre of North East Tasmania.
